Mistaken Identity

  • Mistake Identity: A situation due to being mistaken for someone else
  • Proverbs: 24:11-12 (ERV) 11 If you see someone on their way to death or in danger of being killed, you must do something to save them. 12 You cannot say, “It’s none of my business.” The Lord knows everything, and he knows why you do things. He watches you, and he will pay you back for what you do.
  • Judges:2:16-17(NLT) 16 Then the Lord raised up judges to rescue the Israelites from their attackers. 17 Yet Israel did not listen to the judges but prostituted themselves by worshiping other gods. How quickly they turned away from the path of their ancestors, who had walked in obedience to the Lord’s commands. 
  • Ecclesiastes:10:6-7 (NLT) when they give great authority to foolish people and low positions to people of proven worth. I have even seen servants riding horseback like princes and princes walking like servants!
  • John:12:30-33 (MSG) 30-33 Jesus said, “The voice didn’t come for me but for you. At this moment the world is in crisis. Now Satan, the ruler of this world, will be thrown out. And I, as I am lifted up from the earth, will attract everyone to me and gather them around me.” He put it this way to show how he was going to be put to death.

We need an answer for those who sent us. What do you have to say about yourself?” 23 John replied in the words of the prophet Isaiah: “I am a voice shouting in the wilderness, ‘Clear the way for the Lord’s coming!
  • John:4:25-26 (NLT) 25 The woman said, “I know the Messiah is coming the one who is called Christ. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”   26 Then Jesus told her, “I am the Messiah!”
